The olive wreath deriving from the customs of ancient Greece, is a symbol of peace and virtue and was historically worn by brides and virgins. A pair of modern "olive wreaths" wedding crowns (Stefana) that fit perfectly together, connected with a 120cm grosgrain ribbon. Each pair of stefana - crowns consists of two identical pieces that fit perfectly to each other. Each piece completes the other. So that when united they become one piece, forming a perfect circle. This union represents the connection of two individuals into one couple.
